What is Region 20?

map of four towns

Region 20 is the school district created to educate students from Goshen, Litchfield, Morris and Warren, CT. The towns of Goshen, Morris and Warren were part of the Region 6 school district beginning in 1955. On June 28, 2022 residents of these four towns voted to merge the Litchfield Public Schools and Region 6. The new school district will open its doors to students beginning with the 2024-2025 school year.

Elementary Schools in Region 20 will be maintained in individual towns. Goshen Center School is in Goshen with pre-k through grade 5. Litchfield has Center School with pre-k through grade 3 and Litchfield Intermediate School with grades 4 and 5. James Morris School in Morris has pre-k through grade 5. Warren School in Warren goes through grade 5.

The middle school students, from grades 6 through 8, from each town will attend the Region 20 Middle School at 14 Plumb Hill Road in Litchfield. High School students from each town will attend the Region 20 High School at 98 Wamogo Road in Litchfield.

Region 20 High School will also be accepting students in their Agriscience Program from sending towns of Burlington, Harwinton, Plymouth, Terryville, Thomaston and Torrington.

We are excited to begin this endeavor together with our district's vision statement in mind: Today's Student, Tomorrow's Future.
