Wamogo Regional High School

Principal's Message

Principal William Egan

Dear Parents,

I hope that you all had a wonderful new year and have worked with your children to set goals.  A new year is always a new beginning that can bring a renewal of spirit and dedication.

I encourage you all to work closely with your child’s teachers and monitor their progress for the remainder of the school year.  If you need anything, please do not hesitate to contact the school.  I would like Wamogo to be a partnership where we are all doing “Whatever it Takes” to make the year a successful one for your child.

Please be aware that the CMT and CAPT will be coming in the coming during March.  The dates will be March 5th through March 16th.  A schedule and letter will be available on-line.  Please make sure that your child gets an appropriate amount of rest and that they have a healthy breakfast.  As always, a breakfast program will be available for purchase to start the day.  We have spread the testing window over two weeks for your child to focus only on one test per day (We will not have snacks, since we are only offering the one test).

Course registration will happen on February 15th.  This is a time for you to sit with your child and review the program of Studies.  The Program of Studies can be found on-line (available February 6th) at www.rsd6.org.  Your child will have the opportunity to meet with their teachers to discuss which classes best meet their academic needs.  If you have any question about this process, please do not hesitate call our guidance department and your child’s school counselor would be glad to assist you.

I am excited about all of the positive strides we are making at Wamogo.  I encourage you all to attend our parent coffees; the dates are posted online @ www.rsd6.org.  Also, please consider joining “E-news” by clicking on the floating “E” on our website.  In addition, the WPO is an excellent way to get involved at the school level.

Please feel free to send me an email at wegan@rsd6.org, or call 567-7410 with any questions, concerns, or wonderful things that you might want to share with us.  Wamogo is a special place and we are all privileged to be here.

I wish you all the best for 2012.

Sincerely,

Bill Egan
