Mission Statement The primary goal of the education community (teachers, administrators, parents, citizens and students) of Regional School District No. 6 is to provide conditions, systems of support, and educational activities such that:
“All students become successful learners”
Success is measured by:
- Ability to be a self-directed learner
- Ability to make decisions intelligently, solve complex problems and think critically
- Ability to communicate effectively in all environments
- Willingness to confront and resolve difficult problems
- Ability to recognize and respond to the need for changes
- Mastery of essential elements of the curriculum
- Demonstrable concern for others and willingness to contribute to the betterment of society
In achieving this goal we are committed to:
- Constantly challenging students to make the greatest use of their abilities
- Consistently assessing our success
- Providing a supportive environment with knowledgeable educators
- Recognizing and respecting the interrelated roles of teachers, administrators, parents, citizens and students
- Evaluating and monitoring the effectiveness of the use of resources (people, money, time, space, knowledge, materials) and acting upon the results of this evaluation to determine the need for change
