Last night the Region 6 Board of Education unanimously approved its goals for the 2019-2020 school year.

I.  Improve Student Learning and Outcomes

The Board will monitor a set of district-wide K-12 skills and competencies that will impact student performance and preparation for life, citizenship, learning, and work beyond school.

-Common Core Standards/21st Century Digital Learning Crosswalk
-Analyze and Construct Evidence
-Critical and Creative Problem Solving
-Meaningful and Purposeful Communications
-Digital Literacy & Information Fluency

II. Evaluation

The Board will evaluate the Superintendent of School by June 30, 2020.

III.  Assessment

The Board will regularly review Academic Performance results including STAR, SBAC, CMT-Science, CAPT-Science, PSAT, SAT and Advanced Placement.

IV.  Fiscal

The Board will adopt 0% increase to local town assessment for the 2020-2021 budget.

V.  Long Term

The Superintendent, in coordination and with the approval of the joint Long-Term Planning Committee, will plan, create, and implement a shared central office for the two districts.  This central office will be fully implemented and operational for 2020-2021 school year.
