Dear Community Members,

I delivered an important information session in October to the Region 6 Board of Education that focused on Budget Equity and Sustainability.  This presentation was developed in my role as Superintendent but based from a concern as a parent and local resident. During the meeting, we discussed trends in declining enrollment and budget increases. It was decided by all that we need to take the message to our greater town communities.

In an effort to share and have a dialog the district has partnered with our Town Selectmen to hold three meetings as follows:

December 12th – Morris Town Hall at 7:00 p.m

December 19th – Warren Town Hall at 7:00 p.m.

December 21st – Goshen Center School Cafeteria at 7:00 p.m.

The goal of these meetings is to have a conversation with our communities, present historical budget information and examine concepts behind rising per-pupil costs. I will detail the cost of our current district model and how we must address that design for future long-term needs. There will also be a question and answer session to gain community input.

I look forward to engaging with the community in a dialog on how we all can move forward in the best interest of our children.
